OPENING DETAILS: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (includes 1 hour unpaid lunch) Salary Range: Schedule B - Range 012 (L) (New employees to the District will begin at Step I. Exceptions based on relevant experience pending approval). BASIC FUNCTION: The Behavior Interventionist will administer Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to identified special education students; may attend student progress meetings; develop and maintain treatment logs; supervise and evaluate special education instructional/behavioral staff; perform a variety of clerical and supportive tasks for certificated instructional personnel; learn and apply individual instructional procedures; monitor and redirect student progress regarding inappropriate behaviors and performance; support acquisition of appropriate skills and behaviors; oversee students with special learning needs.

Two years of experience working with students with special needs, including students with Autism and some demonstrated experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based behavior intervention techniques. Experience in observing and charting student behavioral data. Experience in implementing Intensive Behavior Intervention techniques.
