Job Summary
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Director of Student Services and oversight by the Site Principal and/or designee. In alignment with the District’s Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), the Student Support Specialist will function as part of a comprehensive team that provides emotional, behavioral, and mental health support for students at the school sites. The Student Support Specialist will assist in the implementation and monitoring of appropriate classroom and school-wide behavioral and social-emotional interventions; the creation and implementation of individual student behavior support plans; and provide direct, short-term intensive behavioral and/or social-emotional intervention support.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
? Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Human Development, Education, or related field required;
Experience:
• One (1) year of experience working with at-risk youth (group home/residential care, day treatment, wrap-around programs, school-based setting, transitional programs, etc.);
• Bilingual (Spanish), preferred.
Licenses, Certifications, and Testing
• A current and valid CPR/First Aid certification;
