- Lead collaborative SST meetings with principal, parents, and teachers using a problem solving approach.

- Gather and collect data of student strengths and concerns from parents, teacher, and support staff to create an action plan for school and home that is documented in the SST process.

- Develop and implement strategies to help students with academics, behavior, or social skills in the classroom and school environment.

- Provide interventions and accommodation plans with varying teaching methods that could help the learner who is struggling to be successful in the classroom.

- Class observations to record noted behaviors during a lesson and look for patterns to determine specific student needs.

- Support and coordinate efforts with teachers to ensure student success for struggling students.

- Develop individual accommodation plans through the SST process.

- Provide recommendations for further assessment using report card, Star data, formal and informal observations.

- Interpret evaluations and data to understand what accommodations would be appropriate for each learning need when formal documentation is presented.

- Monitor progress of students with accommodations and intervene when progress is not being made in classes.

- Collaborate with Learning Support Coordinators in the Diocese of Oakland to help assist in meeting students’ needs.

- Partner with the nearby public schools to determine if the student meets the criteria for a formal psycho educational assessment.

- Teach small group reading intervention to improve fluency and comprehension. Provide feedback to teachers regarding areas of growth and continued concerns in the area of reading.

- Work with school district regarding Title funds
