Job Summary

Job Summary

Provide services to students with social/emotional and/or behavioral needs. Includes providing individual and group counseling, social work services, collaboration, and training. Participate in team meetings to support student needs and plans in school setting (SST, IEP meetings, etc.). Provide training and support to school staff on social emotional strategies. May also include providing behavior consultation and support to teachers and staff working with students. May include observing, collecting, and analyzing data for a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA), Positive Behavior Intervention Plans (PBIPs), and Comprehensive Behavior Intervention Plans (CBIPs). May include providing training and support to school staff on positive behavior support strategies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must have a Master’s degree and one of the licenses/credentials/degrees below; Experience in a school setting implementing Positive Behavior Supports, preferred; Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred; and Must be able to become certified by the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) in non-violent crisis interventions. Must be able to become certified by VC SELPA in Positive Behavior Interventions to complete FBAs and CBIPS. Verification of Master's Degree (Official transcripts will be required upon offer of employment).
