Job Summary

Job Summary

The Program Manager, Safety and Support Services, is responsible for supervising health, safety, and support services within the Student Services Branch, in accordance with federal and state laws, local policies, and administrative procedures. The Program Manager, Safety and Support Services develops and implements strategies that promote healthy and safe behaviors, as well as detecting and correcting health and safety-related barriers in the educational setting. This role builds the capacity of staff to provide programs that support student health, engagement, and well-being. The Program Manager, Safety and Support Services also serves as a primary investigator for complaints received within the branch.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Possession of a valid California Administrative Services credential; • Master’s degree in Education Administration, or a closely related field from an accredited institution; • Five (5) years of administrative or management experience in education in a school district or county office of education, including experience as a principal; • Four (4) years of experience overseeing, supervising, and evaluating unit classified and certificated staff; • Experience in health, safety, and support services in public schools.
