Job Summary

CITY LANGUAGE IMMERSION CHARTER (CLIC) is seeking a high energy, well-organized Resource Specialist Teacher who has proven success at the elementary school level. Resource Specialists are responsible for providing RSP services and case management for students with disabilities. CLIC is looking for outstanding educators with a strong foundation in the Common Core State Standards and whose teaching beliefs and practices are rooted in anti-racist, culturally responsive pedagogy. BACKGROUND City Language Immersion Charter is a high-achieving, project-based school that serves a diverse student body reflective of the full range of socioeconomic, cultural, and racial diversity in Los Angeles. CLIC offers TK-5th grade students an innovative, dual language immersion program (Spanish/English) in the West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles. Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS A valid California Education Specialist Credential (mild/mod) with Autism Authorization; Demonstrated ability to effectively run IEP meetings; Ability to audit and monitor compliance based on district, State and federal regulations; Demonstrated excellence in implementation, teaching and addressing contents of IEPs (including goals, present levels and accommodations); Ability to manage time responsibly and reliably, and ensure that student services are delivered and documented promptly A working knowledge of Welligent IEP system and/or strong technical computer-based skills; Commitment to the values of CLIC and an ability to articulate commitment to the mission; Actively engage with and support the school's social justice mission and demonstrates a commitment to intersectional, anti-racist education; An ability to be proactive and be a self-starter; A positive outlook and enjoy collaborating with colleagues and appreciate different points of view.
