Job Summary

The Mental Health Clinician – School Community Partnership (SCP) will provide a full range of mental health services to students including assessment, development of individual treatment plans, goals and objectives; individual, group and family counseling collaboration with school and district staff, and appropriate outside agencies.

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience and Education: Master’s degree from an accredited university and/or college with major coursework in social work, psychology, and counseling or closely related field. At least one year experience in providing mental health services, social services, case management, and counseling with children. Must possess one of the following valid California licenses: Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, intern registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, or intern registration as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. Candidates from out of state who hold a comparable license may be considered with the stipulation that they are eligible for an appropriate California license and obtain the license within one year of employment in this classification. Attach any documents that you feel will help demonstrate that you meet the minimum qualifications listed above (i.e. resume, transcript, diploma, resume). Documents you wish to attach should be uploaded via EDJOIN by the filing deadline in order to be considered in the hiring process (pertains to current employees also). Candidates achieving a rating of 70% or better will qualify to continue in the eligibility screening process. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and the possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operator’s license. Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Must present verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain verification within six (6) weeks of hire and annually thereafter, as required by the California Child Abuse Neglect Reporting Act.
