Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove is looking to hire School Based Counselors! We have employment opportunities great for those interested in working with children, adolescents and families! School Based Counselors work at elementary or intermediate school sites to provide comprehensive mental health services, case management and other related support services to eligible children and their families. Create treatment plans, conduct individual, group and family treatment, while maintaining a minimum active caseload of 10 clients and set work schedule. Maintain accurate and up to date case records of all services in accordance with state and county regulations. Participate in team meetings as needed with GGUSD personnel and submit weekly updates on client progress. School Based Counselors serve as positive role models and establish meaningful relationships that will encourage and motivate youth! Location: Various elementary and intermediate sites within Garden Grove Unified School District. Schedule/Pay: Part Time, up to 29 hours/week, excluding recess periods – Must be available 2 days/week, M-F between 8am-5pm with some nights and weekends Starting at $18.50/hour Pay Range: $18.50 to $23.50/hour Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age Currently enrolled in an MFT program (trainee/intern), or current MFT, ACSW, or LPCC registered Associate with BBS, or Post-Graduate MFT, ACSW, or LPCC Associate with BBS registration pending Must have and maintain valid Professional Liability Insurance (Malpractice Insurance) One year clinical experience or equivalent One year experience working with children/a
