Job Summary
The Director, Local Control Funding Formula (LCAP) is responsible for the management, development, and coordination of regional support for the Local Control and Accountability Planning Department in the Education Support Services (ESS) Division. The Program Manager implements regional services for reviewing and monitoring Districts’ LCAPs and the LCAP process for the districts. The Program Manager facilitates the review of individual district plans and provides detailed information and support and feedback to districts that is developed by the county team. The Program Manager also serves as a resource and maintains a high level of knowledge among staff and districts about LCAP, California School Dashboard indicators, California Assessments of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and current best practices and planning resources. The Program Manager is familiar with state and federal mandates, especially the Local Control Funding Formula. The Program Manager serves on county, regional and state committees, as appropriate. The Program Manager reports to the LCAP Director, Education Support Services Division.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Valid California Administrative Services Credential; • Valid California Teaching Credential; • Experience as a school site administrator and/or as a district office administrator (for at least two years) and/or as a county administrator for a combined total of four years; • Experience participating in the leadership of school and district curriculum development and professional development planning and implementation; • Experience in site or district plan development; • Experience working with schools and/or districts through California Assessments of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI), Differentiated Assistance (DA), etc; • Experience in overseeing professional development for teaching diverse student populations.
