COORDINATOR OF ASSESSMENT AND DATA

1. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

1.1.  The Coordinator, Assessment and Data oversees federal, state, and local testing and works with staff on the interpretation and implication of assessment results to instruction and program design.

2. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

2.1.  Coordinates all aspects of federal and state assessments including maintaining inventory of assessment materials, training staff on test administration and reporting, and supporting/monitoring sites on testing implementation.

2.2.  Coordinates district assessments in conjunction with support staff including the development of test forms, maintaining inventory of assessment materials, coordinating printing and dissemination of assessment materials, and training staff on test administration and reporting.

2.3.  Provides professional development to staff district wide on assessment data systems, the interpretation of assessment results, and the use of data systems to inform instructional practices.

2.4.  Assists in the preparation and administration of research and evaluation studies to  include tracking and monitoring data collection efforts, performing data entry and preparing data for analysis, editing tables, graphs, and reports, and assisting with preparation of reports and presentation materials.

2.5.  Coordinates the AP/IB reimbursement process.

2.6.  Coordinates the publication of all School Accountability Report Cards.

2.7.  Coordinates district submission of federal and state award programs.

2.8.  Communicates effectively with all levels of District personnel

2.9.  Supervises staff as assigned

2.10.  Other duties as assigned

3. SUPERVISION EXERCISED OR RECEIVED

3.1.  Under the supervision of the Director of Research and Accountability


4. QUALIFICATIONS

4.1.  Valid California Administrative Services credential

4.2.  Minimum three years teaching and/or administrative experience

4.3.  Demonstrated ability to work with data warehouses, spreadsheets and graphing software

4.4.  Experience with federal and state testing

4.5.  Demonstrated written and oral communication skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Valid California Administrative Services credential. 2. Minimum three years of teaching and/or administrative experience. 3. Demonstrated ability to work with data warehouses, spreadsheets and graphing software. 4. Experience with federal and state testing 5. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. 6. Bilingual preferred. Step 3: Selection—Top unranked candidates will be recommended by the committee(s) to the Superintendent.* *The Superintendent also has the discretion to appoint. SELECTION CRITERIA: In addition to possessing the ability to successfully meet the duties and responsibilities as per the job description, the successful COORDINATOR OF ASSESSMENT AND DATA applicant will be selected on the basis of the following: 1.
