Job Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) Full-time position, working 8 hours, and one (1) Part-time position working 3.75 hours per day, 9 months per year. Under the general supervision of the Assistant Principal and the Lead Campus Security Officer, assists the high school staff, or staff at other sites in maintaining campus security against external intrusion; assists in maintaining acceptable student conduct; and performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
High School graduation or equivalent; one year of experience in security work or law enforcement. Additional education or experience in the area of dealing with individual and group behavior, particularly contemporary youth behavior or Police Academy or Military Police training is desirable. Any other combination of training and/or experience that could provide the desired knowledge and abilities may be considered.
Must possess and maintain a current First Aid and CPR certificate issued from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; must obtain, within 120 days of employment, a CPI Certificate; thereafter, must maintain a valid certificate. A valid Class C California Driver License. Certificate of completion (Penal Code 832.2), from an approved School Security Training class that is authorized and recognized by the state of California as meeting SB1626 and ED. CODE 38001.5 must be submitted with your application.
