Job Summary

Job Summary

Under general direction, to perform a wide variety of administrative support duties related to classified personnel for the Director of Classified Personnel; to relieve administrator of a variety of routine administrative and clerical details; and to perform related work as required. Primary responsibilities are to: • Updates assigned databases and oversees updates on personnel records; notifies payroll department of earned stipends; prepares labels for time sheets; prepares bi-weekly personnel document for Board agenda: • Receives and responds to routine inquires from district personnel and the general public through knowledge of office and district policies and procedures or through documents, records and files informs supervisor of pertinent information from community and staff inquires; • Supervises the work of personnel staff in a lead capacity; • Prepares materials for the management collective bargaining team; • Maintains a variety of personnel records including salary verification, directory information, seniority lists, and employee rosters; • Assists with salary and reclassification studies; provides information for other organizations who request information for studies and surveys; • Provides notification of new-hire and annual staff evaluation information to administrative staff; oversees collection of evaluations and reminder notices sent on late evaluations; • Acts as back-up to Administrative Secretary regarding worker’s compensation; • Performs related duties as assigned.

An employee requesting to transfer from one work site to another work site in the same job classification, must complete and submit a classified Request for Transfer to the Personnel Office prior to the deadline. Outside applicants will also be considered.
