ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Program Manager will develop and sustain the program implementation with assigned feeder pattern staff/schools: -Work as a part of the Community Schools team, alongside the Director, to develop the department’s goals and objectives with existing partner schools, consistent with the vision, mission, and values of the project plan. -Support the development and implementation of a highly effective Community Schools program, particularly strengthening the team’s ability to leverage effective partnerships and bring sustainable and meaningful change to each school’s existing structures, policies, and processes. -Support the implementation and management of community schools including outreach, planning, evaluation and school coordination, and best practices in family engagement. -Oversee the development and implementation of the assigned Community Schools project, including grants deliverable oversight, data collection, and reporting for direct reports. -Participate and lead in Community School project workgroups, feeder pattern networks, coordinator networks, and department meetings, as needed. -Supervise assigned LAEP staff and provide oversight, management, and on the grounds coaching. -Participate in the collection and input of LAEP partnership evaluation data used to measure on-going program effectiveness of service providers and progress toward the school’s goals. -Assist in the management of program budgets, approve expenditures and requests for programmatic expenses. -Manage program and department documentation. -Provide management and supervision of staff; coordinate project team and project workgroups; ensure compliance; ensure consistent implementation of community-school principles; identify partners and resources. -Provide support and leadership in implementing project proposal and deliverables, alongside Community School Coordinators. -Evaluate and monitor ongoing deliverables, strategies, a

• 5 years minimum experience developing and building programs, within a school setting, that support student academic success through parent and family engagement, leadership development, advocacy and empowerment, grants management, and authentic and effective collaboration. • 3 years minimum experience supervising staff and/or volunteers. • 3 years minimum school-based experience, specifically within K-12 school district. • 3 years minimum experience mobilizing groups, building partnerships with local organizations, and leveraging resources within a community. • Experience facilitating and leading professional development, leadership development (train the trainer model), targeted skills-building workgroups and workshops. • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills; strong written and interpersonal skills with an ability to lead groups to action and consensus-building. • Understanding of district-wide school operations and culture. • Experience working with individuals with diverse ethnic backgrounds. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excess, Access, PowerPoint) and general technology like Zoom. • Prefer Cognitive Coaching and/or Adaptive Schools trained • BA required, Master’s degree preferred in a related field such as education, ethnic studies, or social work. • Experience with project planning to increase student’s academic success through family/parent engagement, school collaboration, and social emotional health • Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong written and interpersonal skills • Experience with grants management, reporting, and data collection. • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred • Demonstrated success in working with students and families of diverse backgrounds • Ability to quickly establish and maintain cooperative and effective professional relationships, build trust in a limited time, and engage with a broad range of school-based staff and community partners around building a trauma sensitive culture • Ability to demonstrate effective skills in group facilitation, managing teams/groups, organizational dynamics, and consensus building. • Cultural awareness and ability to navigate and promote sensitivity with issues of race and equity and knowledge of racial equity and racial justice in the context of public education • Excellent project management skills, ability to balance multiple priorities with proven ability to anticipate challenges, solve problems and maintain a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations • Strong analytical, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills • Experience managing budgets and expenses. • Experience leading change efforts at a school site • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team • Builds excellent rapport and relationships with colleagues and clients • Earns the respect of the school site staff and wider community
