We have two (2) exciting opportunities for a Student Services Assistant II, Enrollment Services to serve our San Jacinto, CA campus. Under general supervision of the Enrollment Services Supervisor, the Enrollment Services Assistant performs computer data entry functions, varied and diverse record keeping and verification tasks necessary for the maintenance and processing of student records as required for the reporting of student registration and demographical statistical data. The Enrollment Services Assistant assists the supervisor with complex Enrollment Services Office operations and procedures; trains and oversees new, substitute, temporary and student workers; and, performs various other tasks as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. A high school diploma or GED; AND 2. Two (2) years of college-level coursework (attach transcripts); AND 3. Two (2) years of professional experience in research, analysis and/or review in a student services program area (Admissions and Records, Counseling, Financial Aid, and/or Student Activities); OR in a related field that will demonstrate possession of the knowledge and abilities necessary to meet the performance objectives of the assigned student services program; AND 4. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff. ***Before scanning attachments, remove/redact sensitive, confidential information such as date of birth, social security number, address and photograph*** SUBSTITUTIONS Substitutions for meeting the minimum qualifications of this position are allowed. Substitutions for the education requirement are allowed, up to a maximum of one (1) year DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. Two (2) years of professional experience or education related to mainframe or personal computer systems that would permit the applicant to rapidly learn software applications specific to the assigned student services area. 2. Professional experience with Student Information Systems (SIS) (i.e. Colleague, Datatel, Banner, PeopleSoft, etc.). 3. Prior experience in approaching work and interaction with colleagues and/or students in an equity-minded manner. Ability to promote an inclusive and welcoming work/education environment.
