School Summary California Connections Academy is a network of tuition-free public online schools for students in grades K–12. The network of schools is operated by the nonprofit California Online Public Schools and currently includes six schools serving students in 32 counties in California, including Orange County. California Connections Academy schools are accredited by the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Position Summary Working from either the Ripon or San Juan Capistrano office with potential work from home options, The Coordinator of Student Services will manage educational needs for our students with disabilities while working collaboratively with our partner school districts, related service partners, associations, and service agencies. This 10-month employee position manages the operation and integrity of the school’s special education database (SEIS), related services, as well as disproportionality efforts. Provides leadership, training and data related support to users in the organization. This position reports to the Director of Student Services and includes supervision of staff. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: SELPA & special education management system (SEIS) coordination and related contacts including: Support in management of special education management system (SEIS), oversees data input and troubleshoots issues Provides comprehensive training and continued support to all staff on the special education management system (SEIS) SEIS Trainer, and related duties, Acts as a liaison and makes frequent contact with SELPA to assure compliance and assures all records for State and Federal compliance monitoring Attend meetings with school’s SEIS Coordinators and oversee distribution of latest updates and needs Coordinate any and all efforts with school’s SEIS Coordinators SELPA reporting systems and coordination of Special Education Plan (SEP) Proactively works to reduce errors and d
