Job Summary

Position Overview Youth Systems Navigators will build relationships with PLN departments and community partners to strengthen network of providers that support participants’ education, employment, health, wellbeing, and success. This position will ensure that youth are connected to comprehensive services and support for basic needs, education and vocational training, employment, health, mental health, housing, and other services. Duties -Coordinate presentations and workshops by network partners to inform youth of available resources and supports. -Coordinates, plans, develops, and conducts presentations and workshops relating to basic needs services and resources which will support youth achieve their employment and employment goals. -Assist with coordination of partner meetings to improve referrals. -Develops innovative ways to provide a high level of services that is engaging and meets the needs of participants. -Meet face-to-face, via phone, and/or virtually with youth and young adults to assess needs related to housing, mental health, education and employment resources and other support services required to succeed in school and/or work. -Supports with crisis intervention for students with immediate needs such as shelter, food, financial, transportation and legal support. -Participates in collaborative meetings, resource fairs and partner meetings. -Tracks deliverables, monitors progress and reports data. -Supports with maintaining relationships with existing partners and cultivating partnerships. -Coordinates food pantry efforts. -Develops brochures, forms, spreadsheets, databases, handbooks, manuals and other written materials to support access to basic needs services and other resources. -Assist in collecting client stories for grant reports. -Support program participants with enrollment in meal and benefit programs including Cal Fresh, WIC, EBT, Medi-Cal, and CalWORKs. -Participate in all required trainings, meetings and supervision mee

Requirements / Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience Requirements -Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. English proficiency supporting professional-level verbal and written communication to children, parents and other staff members required. Education and Certification Requirements -Bachelors required and minimum 2-years’ experience working with youth ages 16-24 preferred -Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug test and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States. Other Requirements -Must have reliable transportation and State required automobile insurance coverage and valid Class C California driver’s license (mileage to be reimbursed) -Clean driving record
