SALARY: MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST I: $40.98 - $45.79 Per Hour (2022-2023 Salary Schedule), + $2,214 for MA, MS, MFT, MSW or $2,689 for Ph.D, Ed.D. MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST II: $54.64 - $61.05 Per Hour (2022-2023 Salary Schedule), + $2,214 for MA, MS, MFT, MSW or $2,689 for Ph.D, Ed.D.

MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST I: Basic Function: Work within the scope of the license to provide mental health services including assessment, diagnosis, individual, group and family therapy, mental health evaluations, case management and other milieu and therapeutic interventions to identified students in various programs under the direction of clinical supervisor. Provide consultation to District personnel and other community-based organizations working with students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs related to mental illness; travel to various District sites and school-based health centers to provide direct service to students and coordinate activities with Program personnel; prepare and maintain related records and reports. Education and Experience: Requires a master’s degree or higher in counseling, psychology, clinical social work, or a closely related field. Must be registered as an intern/associate with California licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, Professional Clinical Counseling, or Psychology through Board of Behavioral Science.
