OPENING DETAILS: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day Work Hours: TBD Salary Range: 58 (New employees with the district will begin at Step I. Exceptions based on relevant experience pending approval). BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform journey-level electrical work in the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.

Sufficient training and experience to demonstrate journey-level skill in the electrical trade desired with the ABILITY TO: perform journey-level electrical work in the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment; work from blueprints, shop drawings and sketches; operate a variety of equipment and machines utilized in the basic trade including testing equipment, drills, saws, various hand and power tools; diagnose repair needs and defects in electrical systems; estimate materials and approximate time required for electrical work; work cooperatively and effectively with others; work independently with little direction; analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action; read, and follow rules, regulations, policies and procedures; lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds using safe and proper methods and/or equipment; move objects weighing over 50 pounds using safe and proper methods and/or equipment; operate a vehicle observing legal and defensive driving practices; complete assignments in an efficient and timely manner. Shop and field environments; subject to lifting and climbing and exposure to high voltage and chemicals. Subject to exposure to communicable diseases.
