Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, the Manager of Facilities Maintenance and Operations assures efficient and cost-effective departmental operations; controls, directs, organizes, plans, and runs the maintenance, repair, and operations of all NOCROP-owned equipment, facilities, grounds, and vehicles, including partner school district’s classrooms/labs used by NOCROP; develops, implements, and keeps current a facilities master plan and standard operating procedures for all areas of responsibility; equips stakeholders with the training necessary for effective and safe usage and care of equipment, facilities, grounds, and vehicles while maintaining the highest level of customer support; schedules, supervises, and evaluates the performance of all assigned personnel; secures materials and services from vendors as necessary following established policies, procedures, and regulations; and works closely with partner school district staff to coordinate NOCROP services.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE: • Graduation from high school or equivalent • Seven (7) years of experience and formal training in construction and maintenance methods and supervision, including extensive experience in manpower scheduling, facilities planning, and construction; three (3) years of experience must include lead or supervisory capacity • Specialized training in the diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment, and facilities planning is required LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS • Certifications/licenses pertaining to the maintenance field (Example: HVAC, electrical, or plumbing trades) preferred. • The possession of a valid California Class C Driver’s License, the ability to maintain insurability status, and access to personal and reliable transportation are required.

Dexterity of hands and fingers to utilize hand and power tools. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, and/or other standard office equipment.
The mental requirements for this position include the ability to do the following regularly for short or long periods: accept criticism and feedback on performance; analyze and solve problems; collaborate and interact successfully with various groups of people encountered in the course of work; learn and apply new information or skills; make observations; perform highly detailed work; read and interpret data; use mathematical reasoning; use oral and written communication skills; work on multiple, concurrent tasks with frequent interruptions; and work under intensive deadlines and meet productivity requirements.
