The Poway Unified School District is seeking applications for the 2023-2024 school year. Please note that this is posting is for an ELIGIBILITY POOL only. As positions become available, candidates may be contacted directly by school sites or Student Support Services department.

Requirements / Qualifications

This is an Eligibility Pool only - once positions become available, school sites or Student Support Services may contact candidates directly for interviews. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree Graduate work should include successful practicum and fieldwork experience, personality and learning theory, and testing and measurement. At least two (2) years of successful teaching or related experience, and/or two (2) years of successful counseling experience strongly preferred. CREDENTIALS REQUIRED: Applicants must submit all required documents to be considered, including a valid Pupil Personnel Services credential with School Counseling Authorization. A current California teaching credential is preferred.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: All required documents MUST be scanned and attached prior to submitting an application for this position. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 1. Copy of valid Pupil Personnel Services credential with School Counseling Authorization; copy of valid California teaching credential (preferred) 2. Copy of Transcript (Official transcripts are required upon hiring). 3. Current resume. 4. Letter of introduction, addressed to Greg Mizel, Associate Superintendent, Student Support Services. In your letter, please indicate the level that you are interested in (elementary, middle or high). 5. Three (3) letters of reference, signed/dated within the past 12 months. Applicants are encouraged to include at least one (1) letter of reference from a supervising or site administrator. Applicants who have never held a full-time position, are encouraged to have a letter of reference from a site administrator where they completed their practicum and fieldwork experience. 6. For phone references, be sure to include the reference's most current cell phone number and email address. 7.
