CUHSD is currently recruiting for the position of MTSS Specialist. This position is a Teacher or Counselor on Special Assignment. This position will support the district's initiative to provide targeted support for struggling students. Under the supervision of the site administrator, the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Specialist (Teacher or counselor on special assignment) is responsible for the overall management and implementation of MTSS, professional development, data collection, assessments, and planning, organizing, and coordinating of academic and/or behavioral interventions. In addition, the MTSS Specialist provides assistance to general education teachers and administrators in order to support the successful implementation of the District’s Multi-Tiered Support System. Supports the Student Study Team (SST) and 504 process. Qualifications for this position include CA Multiple or Single Subject credential, a minimum of three years of successful teaching or services experience at the secondary level, and biliterate (English/Spanish). The ideal candidate will have experience integrating interventions at the secondary level, current knowledge of educational, behavioral, social-emotional, and heal practices, superior communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with others, and ability to engage in data-based decision making.
