Job Summary
The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for three (3) School Social Workers for North County Academy, located in Carlsbad, North San Diego County. Under general supervision from assigned administrator, the School Social Worker plans, coordinates, organizes, and manages the implementation of social-emotional learning and mental health programs aligned with the San Diego County Office mission, goals, and objectives for student learning. North County Academy, located in Carlsbad, is designed to meet the academic and therapeutic needs of students with mental health concerns. Serving students with Individual Education Programs from kindergarten through 12th grade, our prevailing goal is to help them acquire the skills needed to re-integrate into a more comprehensive and less restrictive setting. This position is full-time and will offer the certificated benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, and will participate in the CalSTRS state retirement system.
Requirements / Qualifications
This position requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to a master’s degree from an accredited college/university and successful experience that demonstrate ability to perform essential functions of the position.
Certificates, Licenses, Credentials:
- California Clear Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Social Work
- Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker in the State of California is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification are highly desirable.

- Copy of valid CPR and First Aid certification (if applicable)
