Big Springs Elementary School District (BSE) is located near Mount Shasta in the heart of the fertile Shasta Valley farming communities, in Montague, California. BSE provides services for children from Infancy through 8th Grade with 40 children and families participating in our Child Care Center, 150 students today. Our State Licensed Child Care Facility serves infants and toddlers, and includes a State Preschool licensed for 24. We are staffed with dedicated teachers that are all highly qualified. Approximately 61% of our student population participates in the free and reduced lunch program.

Job Summary

This position is for the 2025-2026 school year. The SAFE After School Coordinator runs the SAFE program and manages the attendance and enrollment paperwork associated with the job. The coordinator works with children in the After School program in grades TK-8. The position hours are from 1 pm to 6 pm Monday through Friday (5 hrs). The coordinator is in charge of the program activities and classroom management for all students and staff in SAFE. The hours include prep time for administration of the program.
