Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination of experience and education that provides the required knowledge and ability would qualify an applicant. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be to: • Hold a general or standard administrative credential • Possess a Master’s degree • Have served as a school principal or assistant principal • Five years of experience in a responsible administrative capacity

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of:
• Laws and regulations governing public school administration in student welfare including student support services, school-based mental health, school discipline, school safety, child welfare
attendance, and comprehensive educational organizational management experience.
• Principles of personnel administration of student welfare.
• Governmental laws and regulations pertaining to student discipline.
• Public sector collective bargaining and contract administration.
• Staff development and effective management and leadership techniques.
Ability to:
• Plan, direct, establish priorities, and coordinate a variety of complex administrative operations involving district and school site staff.
• Prepare and/or present clear and concise written documents and oral reports regarding complex technical information.
• Interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, and policies related to student welfare matters.
• Work effectively with officials and employees of the District, other public agencies, and the public.
• Assemble and analyze data and make appropriate recommendations for actions related to student matters.
• Work collaboratively with labor organizations as well as other divisions within the school district.
• Supervise the activities of others engaged in various District Student Support Service activities.
SALARY/CONTRACT
• $219,883 annually plus Longevity (if applicable)
• Twelve-month contract and 219 workdays; multi-year contract will be considered
• Auto allowance
• Doctoral Stipend
• Health and other benefits packages with a value up to approximately $21,300. In AUSD, there isn't any additional cost for adding eligible dependents on our standard health benefits package
