Essential Job Duties: 1. Performs a variety of complex and difficult clerical and typing work related to the function to which assigned. 2. Compose and type correspondence, reports, bulletins, and memoranda independently or from brief verbal instructions or notes. 3. Independently assembles, interprets, and organizes information and financial statistical data for reports, manuals, schedules, and audits. 4. Reviews documents for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to established procedures. 5. Compiles and tabulates statistical data. 6. Prepares and/or maintains a variety of files, records and reports. 7. Maintains budget records, purchase orders, and payment authorizations for a department or school. 8. Provides information, schedules appointments, meetings and/or conferences; notifies participants and keeps records, takes and transcribes minutes. 9. Maintains good public relations with students, parents, staff and community. 10. Provides information to district personnel and the public which accurately reflects district policies and administrative regulations and procedures. 11. Orders, maintains inventory, and distributes supplies and equipment. 12. Operate office machines and equipment. 13. Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive communications and of student and staff personnel matters. 14. May provide orientation and guidance to office staff. Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: Knowledge of computers and related software. Type at a speed of 45 words per minute or better from clear copy. Make arithmetical calculations quickly and accurately Perform assigned technical/clerical procedures Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Three years of clerical and one year of secretarial experience.
