Job Summary

Job Summary

We are currently seeking experienced teachers to serve adult learners of all different skill levels and learning styles. A strong candidate brings training and experience teaching English Language Development, High School level core academic subjects, independent studies programs, and a flexibility to teach other courses as needed. While the current opening is located at our community-based school sites, we also have three correctional facility-based school sites, two in downtown LA and one in Lynwood. All teachers who apply to work in our Organization should be open to traveling between school sites, and willing to teach inside the jails as this is an important part of our school's mission. ***Candidates will be considered for a position located at our Family First Charter School - Hawthorne school site, or our New Opportunities Charter School - Inglewood school site. Both day and evening shift available***

Requirements / Qualifications

Requirements to be considered for the ELD/ESL teacher position: -A valid California Teaching Credential in the following categories: Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, or Single Subject Teaching Credential in a core academic subject area(s), or Adult Education Teaching Credential or Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential: Full-Time/Regular in English as a Second Language, Elementary and Secondary Basic, or a core high school subject area. -English Language Learner Authorization -Experience with Independent Studies curriculum preferred -Bilingual preferred
