Job Summary
The Assistant to the Superintendent is a Cabinet-level executive position reporting directly to the County Superintendent. The position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing special projects, events, and meetings on behalf of the Superintendent. This position attends community and organizational events, and serves as the liaison between the Superintendent, branches, departments, districts, and other agencies as appropriate. This position ensures the Office of the Superintendent functions efficiently and effectively. The Assistant to the Superintendent manages annual budgets for programs within the Office of the Superintendent.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION • Possession of a valid California Administrative Services Credential; • Possession of a valid California Teaching Credential; • Three (3) years of experience as a school site or district administrator; • Experience in leadership, interpersonal, consensus building, and communication skills; • Experience with participation and/or leadership in professional and community organizations.
