OVERVIEW: San Diego Unified School District, the second largest district in California and one of the top largest urban school districts in the United States, is seeking a Program Manager, Teaching and Learning (assigned to support Visual and Performing Arts). BASIC FUNCTION: The Program Manager, Teaching and Learning will coordinate and manage special projects within the assigned department, including academic and behavioral interventions and supports; facilitate cross-departmental functions, communication, and collaboration to support effective implementation of key instructional initiatives leading to college and career readiness for all students. The Program Manager, Teaching and Learning (assigned to support Visual and Performing Arts) will oversee and facilitate accountability reporting by schools on programs funded by Proposition 28. This position will also supervise and coordinate the new Visual and Performing Arts team of elementary prep teachers.

POSITION SPECIFICS: Working Location is based out of the Visual and Performing Arts located at 6735 Gifford Way, San Diego, CA 92111. Scheduled for 40 hours per week, 248 days/ 12 months per year Qualifies for District Paid health and wellness benefits for employee and dependents Program Manager, Teaching and Learning (assigned to support Visual and Performing Arts). will be paid on the AASD Certificated Supervisors Salary Schedule, Plan 0708. Salary Grade: 030.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to a master’s degree in education and a minimum of five (5) years of recent, directly related teaching and/or leadership experience. Experience with positive behavior intervention, response to intervention, and academic intervention and support is highly preferred. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid Administrative Credential and Valid California driver’s license.
