Morning Shift from 8am to 12 noon OR Afternoon shift from 12 noon to 4 PM at Panorama High School, 8015 Van Nuys Blvd, Panorama City, CA 91402. Protects persons using a swimming pool by guarding against hazards or accidents and taking protective action in emergencies; provides rescue and first-aid services as necessary.
Requirements / Qualifications
1. Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency. 2. Possession of valid certificates in the following areas: a. American Red Cross - Lifeguard Training b. American Red Cross - First-Aid Certification c. An American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or recognized Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificate in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED). 3. Annual Bloodborne Pathogen training (new employees must complete prior to employment). 4. Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated and must be able to provide verification of vaccination status as part of the hiring and onboarding process prior to an official offer of employment to any District site. 5. Physical and mental fitness to engage in supervision of students as certified by a licensed physician and surgeon or medical officer pursuant to Education Code Section 44839 and evidence of freedom from active tuberculosis pursuant to Education Code Section 49406.
