Job Summary
To act as itinerant Speech Language Pathologist for the Santa Barbara County Education Office, Special Education Program. Responsibilities include assessment and instruction of students, and consultation for parents and teachers. Will conduct assessments for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing ages 3-22.
Requirements / Qualifications
Vacancy in Santa Maria and available immediately. California Speech-Language Pathology or Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, & Hearing, or master’s degree in communicative disorders (or equivalent), plus a valid California Speech-Language Pathologist License. Per Education Code 44831, licensure issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board and a master’s degree in communicative disorders (or equivalent) may qualify in lieu of a credential. Experience and/or training appropriate to fulfill requirements of the position. American Sign Language (ASL) skills required. Will provide training in ASL. Will be working with Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing student population.
