Our graduates matriculate into wonderful San Francisco Independent Schools. www.slssanfrancisco.org Position Description: We are looking for a qualified Preschool Teacher to prepare young children for kindergarten by teaching a developmentally appropriate curriculum and creative play, while fostering a classroom of courtesy and joy. Our program allows for significant one-on-one interactions and looks at each child as an individual. As a faculty, we value a “can do” attitude and with expectations of collaboration and communication. Responsibilities: Teach a carefully crafted, creative program that is suitable for preschool children Observe each child to help them improve and develop social competencies and build self esteem Encourage collaboration and interaction among classmates and facilitate conversations when occasional disagreements occur Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum, using a variety of educational techniques Organize snack and play time and provide supervision at all times to ensure children are safe Track each child’s progress and communicate with parents frequently Work collaboratively with colleagues Maintain a classroom that is clean and visually appealing Prioritize and participate in professional development opportunities Requirements: Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education units Bachelor Degree in relevant field preferred Preschool or kindergarten teaching experience preferred Excellent understanding of the principles of ch
