Kempton Literacy Academy is actively recruiting for Spanish Immersion teachers. Seeking applicants who possess the following: -Commitment to being a life-long learner who embraces 21st Century learning and contributes to a grade level/school team as a communicator, collaborator, innovator, and critical thinker. -Understands the Guiding Principles of Dual Immersion and the goal of a Two-Way Dual Language Immersion Program -Inspiring and motivating teacher who differentiates instruction based on student needs and understands that true learning cannot occur without quality relationships with the students we serve. -Skillful users of technology to accomplish learning goals and increase student engagement. Evidence of incorporating technology in content consumption, deliberate practice, and content creation. -Evidence of instructional maturity. Ability to inspire the love of learning in students through engaging instructional routines. Embraces literacy and instills the love of literacy in students. -Understands how standards fit into the big picture of learning for authentic purposes. REQUIRED: -Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with Bilingual Authorization/BCLAD in Spanish and EL Authorization/CLAD or appropriate equivalent credential(s) and authorization(s) for assignment. -Bilingual, biliterate, and strong socio-cultural competence
