Job Summary
The purpose of a Network Analyst is to design, configure, install, maintain, secure, monitor, and repair network systems, subsystems, and servers; develop and deliver training programs; provide information, direction, and/or recommendations regarding network installations and configurations; resolve network protocol and data communications operational issues; provide technical support to district and site staff. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years college-level course work in computer science, information systems or business including course work in programming, network administration and data communications and three (3) years increasingly responsible experience in the design and sharing of networked hardware and software resources in a large, wide area network environment. Must also possess a current Cisco Certified Network Associate Certification at the time of hire or an equivalent combination of experience and knowledge. May be required to obtain other job related certificates after appointment. WORKING CONDITIONS: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 80% sitting,10% walking, and 10% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment. Scheduled Exam Date: 2/16/23

LICENSE REQUIREMENT: Valid California Driver's License and good driving record. Selected candidates will be required to provide a recent DMV H-6 printout. This classification requires a current Cisco Certified Network Associate Certification at the time of hire or an equivalent combination of experience and knowledge. A resume and letter of introduction is required in addition to the completed application. Questions answered with "see resume" will be considered incomplete. Scheduled Exam Date: 2/16/23
SPECIAL INFORMATION: Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a drug test, TB test, fingerprinting and may include a physical exam. The physical and drug screen are paid for by the District. The candidate's portion of the fingerprint fee is $40.00. Approved recent DMV H-6 printout prior to employment. OPEN TESTING – Open to employees of the District with the selection process resulting in one (1) Eligibility List that will be used to fill current vacancies and any future vacancies that occur within one (1) year. Current permanent employees of the District will be awarded seniority points as per the contract. All properly completed applications will be reviewed and the most appropriately qualified individuals will be invited to continue in the selection process. The process may consist of an evaluation and scoring of application materials, written testing, oral interview and/or performance test to evaluate the applicant’s skill, training and experience. The EdJoin system will time-out after a 20 minute period of perceived inactivity. Your responses to the supplemental questions are limited to 5,000 characters.
