Anaheim Achieves Program Supervisor – Roosevelt Elementary School
• Duties/Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a high level of communication and positive relationships with school personnel including the principal, teachers, program liaison, custodians, office staff, lunch clerks, and volunteers; Recruit and maintain enrollment an attendance target levels to ensure program viability. Maintain waiting list, any discrepancies should reported to Director immediately; Collect and account for parent fees on a daily basis including inputting into database and submittal of money. Follow money handling policies at all times. Never take program fees home; Plan and implement high quality, engaging, age appropriate academic and enrichment activities in a safe and nurturing environment; Supervise and train and develop group leaders; Assure accurate distribution and accounting of snacks and meals daily; Maintain staff timecards: schedule, review and approve timecards regularly; Input student application and/or updated student information into database within 24 hours of receiving them to ensure accurate information shows up on sign in sheets/reports; Keep Director informed of activities and situations related to site immediately. Complete and maintain proper documentation for any incidents that occur on site with participants and/or staff. Report incidents to Director within 24 hours; Submit receipts and supply orders to Directors in a timely manner; Develop and maintain positive parent relations; Attend and participate in meetings and trainings for group leaders and/or program supervisors and any other meetings assigned by Director; Represent the Anaheim Family YMCA at organizations and events agreed upon with Director; Adhere to the field trip policy set forth by the Anaheim Family YMCA and the CDE guidelines; Perform other related job functions/duties as assigned; Maintain proper supervision of all staff and students on site. Follow all supervision expectations outlined in the performance standards; Adhere to the work schedule assigned by the Program Director; Understand that Program Supervisors may be assigned or moved to any site at any time; Maintain confidentiality of all matters pertaining to program participants and personal issues. Only those that need to know e.g. program management, human resources staff, is to be included in discussion of confidential information about participants or employees; Behave according to the YMCA pillars of character (Caring, Respect, Honesty, and Responsibility) and be professional at all times and demonstrate cooperation and constructive problem solving with all groups. Use the Y voice in speaking to all stakeholders.
• Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age and possess at least a High School Diploma or G.E.D; Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent preferred; Two to three years related experience preferred as a coordinator of people and/or activities; Ability to use typical business software and office equipment; Understanding of the nature and purpose of the YMCA and the respective roles of volunteers and staff; As a YMCA Business Driver, the employee must possess a valid/current CA Driver’s License or other valid state driver’s license and must provide to the Y proof of minimum CA vehicle insurance coverage upon request & must also maintain an approved/acceptable driving record. An annual MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) will be conducted by the Y. Employees who are YMCA Business Drivers who do not maintain an acceptable driving record may be prohibited from being a Business Driver which could affect employment status; Must submit to and comply with all requirements for employment including, but not limited to, a criminal background check, drug/alcohol testing, health screening, TB test; Must have, or be willing to receive, First Aid and CPR Certification classes within the first 30 days of employment and keep current as a condition of continued employment as a Program Supervisor; Must be approved by school site principal for final acceptance for position.
• Hours: Monday – Full-Time, Non-Exempt; Monday – Friday, 9:30am to 6:30pm; occasional weekends
• Wage: $22.00 per hour
• Worksite: Roosevelt Elementary School
