About the Employer

California Education Partners (Ed Partners) is a nonprofit organization based in San Francisco that supports leadership teams from district school systems across California in a process that allows them to learn from one another and address their common challenges in new and powerful ways, and, in doing so, to build a lasting culture of improvement. Ed Partners brings together leaders to innovate, improve and build internal capacity as learning organizations so they can serve all students well today and into the future. Ed Partners’ role is to facilitate and empower educators to work together and learn from each other as they work to improve their effectiveness for the children they serve.

Job Summary

Job Summary

Have you ever wanted to make an impact on mid-size school districts across the state to improve outcomes for kids who need the most help? Are you interested in designing learning experiences for adults that provide equitable opportunities for underserved students? Are you interested in innovating approaches to best support districts through critical change? The Ed Partners’ Program Manager serves as a systems improvement consultant for districts. We closely support districts in getting students, from our youngest learners to those entering high school, “on track” to graduate with options and opportunities for college and career. These districts are creating sustainable systems and promising practices that serve as proof points of what is possible in the state.

Job Description / Essential Elements:    Print
  • Develop relationships with, and a deep contextual understanding of, the districts we support in order to best meet their individual needs in service of system improvement and student outcomes.
  • Work within the Ed Partners Model and Approach innovatively to provide differentiated and responsive coaching support in service of the established goals.
  • Meet monthly, in person as needed, with district Leads and Teams to support sustainable improvement across the district.
  • Serve as a Knowledge Broker by sharing and connecting districts to appropriate resources.
  • Leverage the expertise and knowledge of peer districts in the collaboration to deepen team learning.
  • Facilitate large group and small group learning experiences for adults across a collaboration.
Under the direction of the Director of District to District Programs, the Program Manager acts as the lead for 6 to 8 districts across a state. In order to develop deep relationships and contextual understanding of districts in a 3 year collaboration, we intentionally limit the Program Manager portfolio to 6 to 8 districts. Additionally, our Program Managers work collaboratively with 6 to 8 fellow Program Managers on a daily basis to hone and deepen their skills as a coach to best support the districts and students we serve.
