Requirements / Qualifications
We require a letter of introduction; three (1) letter of recommendation; proof of unofficial transcripts or Paraprofessional Certificate; a resume; current TB test (negative results, dated within 6 months of application); current CPR certification (or certify upon hire). We are currently seeking to fill two Virtual Mentor/Tutor positions. This is a Part time, 20 hours per week position with JCS-LIVE.
This position is responsible for providing mentorship and tutoring to students in grades 6-12 in multiple subjects. Mentors/Tutors will meet with students in a virtual environment. The tutor must be able to present topics through multiple approaches to allow students to feel confident in their abilities to succeed. Mentors must have patience and the ability to nurture students until they master a concept or standard.
