Metropolitan Education District (MetroED) is a regional provider of Career Technical Education (CTE) and Adult Education. As the largest organization of its kind in Santa Clara County, we are dedicated to offering career-oriented education to both high school and adult students. Annually, MetroED provides 2,600 diverse students with the skills to help them be productive, income-earning, and tax-paying contributors to Silicon Valley. MetroED collaborates with designated districts to provide comprehensive educational opportunities for adults and high school students. Through our Silicon Valley Career Technical Education program, we offer career technical education to high school students and, on a space-available basis, to adult students in the following districts: Campbell Union High School District, East Side Union High School District, Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District, Milpitas Unified School District, San Jose Unified School District, and Santa Clara Unified School District. Additionally, our Silicon Valley Adult Education provides courses for the San Jose Unified School District.

Job Summary
This position is to serve as administrative executive assistant to the Superintendent and Governing Board of Metropolitan Education District, along with the specific responsibilities as listed below. Provides organizational management of the Superintendent’s Office, key responsibilities, projects and events and assisting the District in communicating effectively with its constituencies. The employee in this position works independently using a high degree of initiative, confidentiality, creativity and wisdom and maintains a positive attitude at all times. This is an exempt confidential position.

Required: a cover letter, a resume and three (3) current letters of recommendation (within a year) Minimum Qualifications Experience: Three (3) years of broad and increasingly responsible experience in executive level administrative work, preferably in a school district setting. Education: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college level course work in business, education administration, management, or related field. AA/AS preferred.
