Job Summary
The Assistant Coach is responsible for overseeing aspects of the athletic program to which s/he is assigned, adhering to all local, state and federal laws, policies and directions of the Governing Board of the District, including the rules, regulations and standards of the California Interscholastic Federation. The Assistant Coach receives direction from the Varsity or Junior Varsity Head Coaches in the assigned sport, and works with the Athletic Director and coaching staff to provide an athletic program which promotes the physical, mental, moral, and emotional well-being of the individual athletes. Requirements / Qualifications
Must meet the requirements of California Title 5, Temporary Athletic Team Coach Qualifications and Competencies, which include possession of a valid first aid card and a valid CPR card. Coaching experience at the High School level is preferred.
