The Los Angeles Unified School District seeks a proven executive leader who is willing to promote a culture of procurement best practices. A dynamic leader who is an open minded visionary and possesses an inclusive and thoughtful approach to managing an impactful procurement team. The ideal candidate will be adept at systems management and facilitating a strong, positive, and healthy work environment. An ability to navigate in a high-profile complex organization is required. Successful candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration or a closely related field. A master’s degree in business or public administration is desirable. Procurement industry certifications would be helpful. At a minimum, experience should include six years of responsible management experience in procurement and contracting, including experience with large, multi- year construction contracts and bond programs preferably within large, urban school districts or other large complex governmental organizations. Three of those years should be at an executive level with responsibility for a major procurement business operation.
