Department Salary: Salary Schedule D ($6,043.48 - $9,782.18 Monthly) DEFINITION: Deliver physical therapy services to students placed or referred for placement in special education programs. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Special Education
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS Any combination of training and experience, which would indicate possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities, listed herein. Education An earned bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physical Therapy from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Desired Experience: At least two years of successful experience in planning and providing physical therapy services, predominately to children and adolescents, in school settings, accredited medical centers, hospitals, clinics, and/or agencies. REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES - Valid California Physical Therapist License. - Successful passage of the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) exam. - Valid First Aid and CPR certification. - Valid California Class C driver’s license.
