Requirements / Qualifications

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The job of Supporting Inclusive Practices Program Support Specialist, is done for the purpose(s) of improving instructional practices to promote inclusion and achievement for students with disabilities. The incumbent will provide technical assistance to districts within Riverside county in the areas of student learning and success, program support, planning, and monitoring of special education programs; serves as a liaison between general education and special education in support of equity, access, and inclusion; serve as a resource for the professional development of special education staff and performing other related duties as assigned. The position will also provide State-wide assistance to identified school districts as part of grant funding through the California Department of Education. This is designated as a certificated management position and is part of the Management Leadership Team. This position is grant funded. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years of successful teaching or services experience in education. Preferred administrative or supervisory experience which would demonstrate exposure to and utilization of required skills, knowledge, and abilities in performing job- related duties and responsibilities. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required. Master’s degree desirable. CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES: •Possession of a valid California Multiple Subject, Single Subject or Education Specialist Credential and California Administrative Credential appropriate for K-12 public school administration required. Internship eligibility for Administrative Services Credential will be considered with verification from approved College or University. •Valid California Driver’s License You must provide copies of credentials as required for the position with your application materials.
