Job Summary
The Director, Human Resources, under the general direction of the Assistant Superintendent, plans, organizes, manages, directs, and assesses the classified and certificated personnel functions of the District including recruitment, examination, position control, classification, salary, and employee relations; interprets, applies, and assures compliance with rules and regulations, education code, collective bargaining agreements, and District, Federal, State, and local laws and policies; organizes employee discipline hearings, advises administration on interpretation and application of rules, regulations, policies, and laws; trains, supervises, and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel.

Qualifications: (See attached job description for detailed information) EDUCATION: Any combination equivalent to: a bachelor’s degree in human resources, public administration or a closely related field, including at least four years of management or supervisory experience, preferably in a public education agency. LICENSES/CREDENTIALS: Valid California Class C Driver’s License TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: The skills, knowledge, and abilities that would be acquired through graduation from a four-year college or university with background in business, public, human resources administration or a closely related field. School district administrative experience is highly desirable.
