The application for the Alameda County Office of Education Teacher Residency at Alder GSE is now open! The Winter deadline is February 2, 2024. The Spring deadline is March 22, 2024. Alameda County Office of Education is recruiting a cohort of teacher residents for the ACOE Teacher Residency. This is an innovative and affordable pathway to a full-time teaching career in our community. Residents earn their Master’s Degree and Teaching Credential in subjects like Math, Science, Special Education, World Language, English or Multiple subjects in just one year through the Alder Graduate School of Education. Residents will be joining a supportive, mentor-based program with an emphasis on social justice and equity. After the year of residency, graduates receive priority hiring. TUITION: $22,610 (2024-25) BENEFITS $45,704k stipend minimum (Residents are not employees of the school) Up to $26k in grants to support teacher residents Up to $60K in federal financial aid/loans and the opportunity to apply for scholarships Master's Degree and Credential Priority hiring for a full-time position within the district Requirements / Qualifications -Bachelor’s degree completed by the end of June 2024 -A grade point average (GPA) of 2.65 preferred -Eligible to work in the United States DACA, permanent residency, US Citizen Teacher Residency Program Details: https://aldergse.edu/academic-programs/masters-credential-teacher-residency/ Read Residency Description for a complete list of requirements and experience required
