Applications are now being accepted for the position of Principal of Saint Anthony’s Catholic School in Fresno, California. St. Anthony’s is located in the heart of central California. Guided by the Gospel of Jesus and the teachings of the Catholic faith, St. Anthony’s Catholic School fosters compassion, character, knowledge, and service for all. Candidates for the position of Principal must be practicing Catholics with a strong commitment to Catholic education, possess an advanced degree, have at least 3 years of elementary school administrative experience, and have or be eligible for California administrator certification. The successful candidate will be committed to the values of Catholic education and family, be an excellent promoter of the school, embrace the diversity of the community, and insist on academic excellence. He or she must also be a collaborative decision maker working with the pastor, staff, parents, and the entire parish community in overseeing every aspect of this ministry for St. Anthony’s. St. Anthony’s is part of the Fresno Catholic School System. The Principal is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the campus, while the system manages all business components of the school. It is crucial that the candidate has a progressive and innovative vision of education for the 21st century that includes technology and current teaching methodologies to reach all students. The candidate must understand the professional development needs of teachers, can relate well with children, parents, teachers, and the community at large, honor the traditions and culture of St. Anthony’s Catholic School, and work collaboratively with the Pastor and School Advisory Board to lead the school positively in its mission. St. Anthony’s School is part of the newly formed Fresno Catholic School System housing grades Pre-K through sixth grade serving the Catholic community of Fresno. As a ministry of St. Anthony of Padua Parish, the school exists to instill the morals, values, and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
