Job Summary

Job Summary

Assists West Contra Costa Adult Education teachers in the High School Diploma, Adult Basic Education, and General Education Diploma (GED) Adult Ed classes taught at the Adult Education Center located at De Jean Middle School. The position is 3 hours per evening, 2 days per week, Mondays and Tuesdays, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Position starts as soon as the hiring process is complete.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must meet current requirements through one of the following: A. Have completed at least 2 years (48 units) of study at an institution of higher education (unopened official transcripts required); or B. Hold a high school diploma or equivalent and successfully pass District’s Instructional Assistant/Aide Exam. C. Pass a Strength Test • Possession of a valid I.D. or Driver’s License Per the district/union contract agreement, current WCCUSD employees will be considered first for vacant positions. This position is grant funded each year. As such, at this time, the position is considered Temporary rather than a Permanent district position.
