Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, employee will provide Special Education Assessments and Services to students enrolled in Cabrillo Point Academy. The Occupational Therapist serves as a member of the CPA Assessment Team and will collaborate as well as consult with the team members. The Occupational Therapist-Registered (OTR) will help students improve their ability to participate in desired daily school activities. The OTR will assess students to determine if they require assistance in learning and developmental activities. The OTR assess students who have conditions that are mentally, physically, or developmentally disabling. As an employee of Cabrillo Point Academy, he/she will follow the responsibilities and procedures as delineated in the CPA Personnel Handbook.

Requirements / Qualifications

-Certification (Must possess the appropriate license or certificate issued by the American Occupational Therapy Association and California Board of Occupational therapy (CBOT) which requires certification from the National Board of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

-Copy of Transcripts (Any combination equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy or related field or certification in Pediatric Occupational Therapy) -Letter of Introduction -Letter(s) of Reference (Two (2) to Three (3) Letters of Reference) -Resume -Copy of Driver's License
