Provide voice to sign and sign to voice interpreting and other support services for deaf and hard-of-hearing students/staff in a variety of settings to facilitate communications between students, faculty, staff, parents and others; confer with students, teachers and administrators concerning instructional functions, interpretation services, educational progress and related issues, needs and activities.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES Education and Experience: Any combination of training, education, and experience which demonstrates possession of the knowledge and abilities stated above, and the ability to perform the duties of the position. Education: Graduation from high school and certification by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment, the Educational Sign Skills Evaluation-Interpreter and Receptive, the National Association of the Deaf, American Consortium of Certified Interpreters, or equivalent, with a score of 4.0 or above. License(s), certifications or other requirements: • Valid California Class C Driver’s License.
