The Los Angeles County Office of Education and the Juvenile Court Schools seek well-qualified individuals to serve as teachers in the Road to Success Academy (RTSA) and participate in a dynamic, creative, and team-oriented Science Single Subject (Foundational Science credential meets this requirement) Teaching assignment. Under the supervision and direction of the school principal, the juvenile court schoolteacher provides an educational program for students. The ideal candidate will work to best prepare At-Promise students and provide opportunities for educational success, including but not limited to credit recovery, high school diploma, trade, career readiness, or college. The selected teacher/s will have skills and experience that engage a diverse student population while embedding many skills beyond the content area. Beyond being an expert in a subject matter, the ideal teacher candidate should effectively utilize various teaching and assessment strategies. Students at the Juvenile Court Schools are challenged to think globally and self-reflect while nurturing communication, presentation, and dynamic group skills. Various Locations: Barry J. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: (must attach credentials with document number) (1) Must possess and maintain a Clear California Teaching Credential authorizing basic academic service i.e.; Multiple Subjects or Single Subjects Credential. (2) Must have CLAD or BCLAD.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement for All Los Angeles County Office of Education Employees Under Superintendent Policy 4060, COVID-19 Vaccination, the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) requires all LACOE employees, including substitute employees, temporary office workers, hourly/part-time employees, contractors, interns, and volunteers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. An individual is considered “fully vaccinated” when at least two weeks have passed since that individual’s receipt of the second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson and Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.
