Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the assigned Administrator, manages and supervises all aspects of the operations of the Department of STEAM and Expanded Learning. Provides county-wide leadership regarding all issues related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics (STEAM), and expanded learning programs, including local, state, and federal requirements and guidance. Interprets state and federal requirements and guidelines to district and site administrators, instructional personnel, school boards, parents, and community members. Coordinates professional development programs including workshops, and technology-based training opportunities. This position is located at the City Center building in Bakersfield, CA.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Credentials: • Administrative Services Credential required. • Master’s or Doctorate degree required. Experience: • Successful experience as a classroom teacher. • Successful administrative experience. • Successful experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating instructional programs. • Successful experience providing professional learning. Must possess a private vehicle, valid California driver’s license and carry current automobile insurance with at least minimum coverage for public liability and property damage. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
