Master's degree from an accredited institution and/or five years of successful classroom teacher. Some experience with staff-development/presentations to adult learners. Instructional Coaches provide support to teachers and instructional staff at schools to which they are assigned. They assist school administration with the monitoring of instructional progress of assigned schools by grade/content areas to determine areas of need and develop a plan for support. Instructional Coaches support teachers in the effective use of district-adopted textbooks, technology, and resource materials. Additionally, they engage in problem solving, with teachers, support staff, and administrators, through continuous planning, designing, testing, evaluation, and re-calibration of teaching methods. Coaches demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning by engaging in professional learning and collaborating with district and site content specialists

Secondary*: Requirements- 3+ years teaching experience in content area to be coached, evidence of effectiveness in positions of leadership related to teaching, and mentoring/coaching skills and knowledge. Proficient in: data analysis, classroom management, differentiation strategies, unit/lesson planning, and classroom applications and personal use of technology. Special Education credential and/or experience desired but not required.
Details:
12 Months (201 days) work year and shall paid according to the Teacher's Salary Schedule listed on Collective Bargaining Agreement with an 8% stipend (8% of class 3 step 7 of teachers Salary Schedule)
Instructional Coach positions shall be "Task Oriented" and shall work a 7.5 hour day excluding a 30-minute duty free lunch.
